A short Trip to Sweden

EW

Ahead of Christmas, time seems to slow down again and gives us the leisure to take care of our little blog again.

Lately, we hopped into Big Paul and headed North again.
Considering the low temperatures, we decided to rent a little house rather that sleeping in the van.

Of course, we took some videos and published a clip on YouTube: https://youtu.be/o-0fiQ-HLms

Below some impressions of the area around:

Let’s put it to the Test

Sunshine, great landscape, friendly people, a lot of fun… It’s easy to love a place in the best of times: On summer vacation.

How does the same place feel, when the circumstances are less pleasurable? When it’s cold, dark and grey and the world seems to be deserted?

We put it to the test and returned to Sweden for a short trip in the most unattractive season – at the end of November.

When we left the ferry, Sweden welcomed us with dull skies, drizzle and chilling winds.

November1
Disembarking the Trelleborg ferry.

But as soon as we arrived at our „stuga“, a nice little vintage cabin in the countryside that we rented for a week, the weather fairy swung her magic wand.

Just take a look:

November2
The Swedish winter sun - floating across the horizon.

We had a wonderful, serene and relaxing time, taking walks and enjoying nature.

Conclusion: “Bullerbue” is a great destination all year round.

Heading for a break

EW

I guess this will be my last post for a while. Routines definitely are setting back in after an exciting spring and summer.

Yes, we are planning another adventure and we will then resume posting regularly.

minor fixes 2

Last week

We were visiting the Murnauer Moos, a swampy area with gorgeous mountain panorama.

I also fixed a minor problem at Big Paul’s lounging bed. You can see it on YouTube: https://youtu.be/o4IZ4B5hTo4

That’s it for now.

9 months, 83 blog posts, 47 videos …

We didn’t have any idea what we were up to when we started our blog on New Year`s Eve – more or less on a whim.

Actually, we were just preparing for a little adventure and giving it a chance.

break01

Last autumn, we had bought this old Postal Service van. And piece by piece our Big Paul turned into a very useful „holiday apartment on wheels“.

In our blog we documented all the necessary building and refurbishing steps and finally our six week journey to and through beautiful Sweden.

Big Paul has done a great job and there are only small improvements we want to make, such as a better indoor lighting and adding another layer to the shelf.

One improvement has already been done, as you can see here: https://youtu.be/o4IZ4B5hTo4

"After the adventure is before the adventure ..."

We have been delighted to share our adventure with all of you and thank you so much for reading, watching our videos and sending so many nice, cheerful and supportive comments.

Rest assured – this was only the beginning. Our next adventure is already in the planning stage.

But at the moment, we want to give ourselves a break and enjoy autumnal Bavaria. While others are dashing at the Oktoberfest and flooding the beer tents, we prefer to walk across the Alpine upland, like the scenic „Murnauer Moos“ and other less frequented areas.

We will be in touch, but a little quiet for a while. So, you will not get a new post every week. Please, be a little patient.

We’ll be back on the blog as soon as we got news to tell. So, if you want to be the first to know, stay subscribed or get on the list.
