Exploring Consciousness

GEF

In a recent blogpost I wrote about my journey from offline to online.

Well, focusing on a future laptop business doesn’t mean I’ll quit the offline world altogether.
It’s way too much fun. I guess, a stage hog stays a stage hog.

I hadn’t done any group coachings for a while. But then I took the chance again.
Friends invited me to give a little workshop in their home.

A delicious lunch - a great start for our little trance workshop.

Our lovely host served a tasty lunch and then we felt ready for take-off.

I gave them an introduction into hypnosis and then started with the first exercise.

Letting the subconscious write

Ever heard of uninterrupted writing?

This is what we did to prepare for our group trance. A wonderful exercise to take your mind off duty, relax and get your brain ready for a deep hypnosis.

If you want to give it a try yourself – just take a pen and paper and write for 10 minutes (or longer, if you wish) without a break. You will be amazed what pours out of you, if you don’t lift your pen, but keep it on the paper, just jotting down uninterruptedly what comes to mind.

Maybe it’s just something like „I can’t think of anything, my head’s empty, no idea, no idea…“ Don’t worry. Don’t think twice. Write it down.

It won’t take long, before your subconscious steps in and gives you hints. Don’t ask. Don’t think. Continue to surrender to the writing flow.

Preparing for the trance.

When the time is up, read what you have written and mark the topics, ideas or statements that seem to be important. Let your feeling, your intuition, decide.

In the next 5 to 10 minute round, first let your fingertips slide across the marked statements on your paper. Your subconscious will guide you to the most important one it wants you to work on in the trance.

If you have marked only one idea in the first place, ask your subconscious to clarify a little more.

Then ask your subconscious to come up with a corresponding open question. That means, a question that cannot be answered with a straight yes or no.

Example: What can I do to calm down my stage fright? What will help me come to a good decision according to my job change? How can I get more ease and flow into my life?

Magical trance

In my little workshop, everybody came up with a topic they wanted to work on.
Then I guided the group through the trance.

They all drifted off and let their subconscious do the job. It took more than half an hour and when they came back, they thought, only a couple of minutes had passed.

It was amazing! I looked into radiant faces, joyfully relaxed, not really able to pinpoint what had happened, but knowing it was good.

Some had found a solution that was clear and fully present.

Others felt it was something to develop over a period of time by not thinking about it but letting the subconscious do the work and deliver it later, when the time was right.

Time to party

We celebrated our successful trance with a round of home-baked cakes and sweeties, some of the participants had brought to the party and had a great time altogether.

What an inspiring day and what a fantastic co-creation of friends, who were ready to explore and trust the process. Everyone of us made a great step forward in our life’s journey!

The reward for our intensive brain work: Tasty home-made cake.

It’s this non-intrusive discreetness that I love about trance work.

I meet my clients on eye level. As a group coach and hypnotist, I don’t have to know the solution. I don’t poke around in their past and their pain.

Nor do I have to consult or advise them or teach them anything. My clients are most competent when it comes to their personal, individual solution. Usually, their subconscious is wiser than their mind. So I help them send their logic into the rocking-chair and sip a tea, while their deeper intelligences take over.

My clients‘ problems are solutions they haven’t discovered yet. And it’s my job to guide them and help them reconnect.

The power of a live group

Of course, this can be done online as well. I did hypnotic trances with 1:1 test clients and it worked very well. It’s a matter of trust and an atmosphere of kindness and well-meaning that creates and holds the space for an easy and relaxed transformation. You can do this from your laptop, if you want to.

But of course nothing can substitute a gathering in person, because the direct contact and the tangible power of the group energy brings so much more to the event.

I will bear this in mind when I start my online business.

That’s it for now. More to come.
